मेडिकल फिजिक्सको अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय दिवस (IDMP) २०२४

 

आज नोभेम्बर ७ तारिख अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय मेडिकल फिजिक्स (IDMP) दिवस हो। मेडिकल फिजिक्सको अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय दिवस (IDMP) २०२४  को नारा "मेडिकल फिजिसिस्टहरू अर्को पुस्तालाई प्रेरणा दिँदै" रहेको छ।

  यस दिनले सल्लाहकारको महत्त्वलाई जोड दिन्छ र यस क्षेत्रमा युवा पेशेवरहरूको लागि सहयोगी वातावरण सिर्जना गर्दछ।

 यो नोभेम्बर 7th, 2024 मा मनाइनेछ, वर्तमान चिकित्सकहरूका लागि भविष्यका मेडिकल फिजिसिस्टहरूलाई प्रेरणा र मार्गदर्शन गर्नको लागि यो दिवस  नोभेम्बर ७ मा मनाइने गरिन्छ।   

 यस वर्षको IDMP सल्लाहकारको महत्त्वलाई हाइलाइट गर्न र युवा पेशेवरहरूको लागि सहयोगी वातावरणलाई बढावा दिन समर्पित छ।

नेपाल क्यान्सर हस्पिटल तथा रिसर्च सेन्टर रेडियोथेरापी विभागका विभागीय  प्रमुख वरिष्ठ रेडिएसन अन्कोलोजिस्ट,  ड़ा गिसुप प्रसिको भन्नुहुन्छ :

 मेडिकल फिजिक्स रेडियोथेरापीमा महत्त्वपूर्ण छ किनकि यसले ट्युमरको मात्रालाई लक्षित गर्न आयनाइजिंग विकिरणको सही खुराक प्रदान गर्नमा  शुद्धता र सुनिश्चिता  गर्दछ जबकि वरपरका स्वस्थ तन्तुहरूमा एक्सपोजर कम गर्दछ। यसले विकिरण थेरापीको प्राविधिक र सफ्टवेयर पक्षहरूलाई जोड दिन्छ, जुन प्रभावकारी क्यान्सर उपचारको लागि महत्त्वपूर्ण छ।

     वरिष्ठ मेडिकल फिजिसिस्ट सुमन बडाल भन्नुहुन्छ: " मेडिकल फिजिष्टले  बिरामीको उपचारको महत्वपूर्ण  जिम्मेवारी राख्दछ।  उत्कृष्ट  रेडियोथेरापी उपचार प्रदान गर्न पाएकोमा  हामी यस पेशामा गर्व गर्दछौ " , बादलले थपे।

Today November 7th is International Day of Medical Physics (IDMP) . International Day of Medical Physics (IDMP) 2024 is themed “Inspiring the next generation of Medical Physicists.”

The day emphasizes the importance of mentorship and creating a supportive environment for young Medical Physics professionals in the field.

 It will be celebrated on November 7th , 2024, with a call to action for current practitioners to inspire and guide future medical physicists.

        The Head of the Department Sr. Radiation Oncologist, Nepal Cancer Hospital & Research Center, Dr. Gisup Prasiko says :

   Medical physics is crucial in radiotherapy as it ensures precision and accuracy in delivering the correct dose of ionizing radiation to target tumor volumes while minimizing exposure to surrounding healthy tissues. It underpins the technological and software aspects of radiation therapy, which are vital for effective cancer treatment.

     Sr. Medical Physicist Suman Badal says "While the radiation oncologist maintains the final responsibility for the patient's treatment, the physicist is responsible for the physical accuracy and accurate dose delivery”. We are proud of this profession for providing best Radiotherapy Services , Badal added.
